We had Kurt Johnston in the studio working on Stephen Lynch’s 3rd CD (as of yet, unnamed.) He added Piano, Guitar and Organ parts today.

Mullet Run at Eclipse Recording Company!

We had Mullet Run in the studio. They traveled to St. Augustine last night to record a Christmas song for this years St. Augustine Christmas Charity CD.

The Ancient City Slickers recorded a new song at Eclipse called, In a Christmas Dream: In Old St. Augustine. This song was lyrically adapted for this years Christmas in St. Augustine CD.

Rick Ambrose Met with Bonnie Raitt to discuss The Willie Green Project

Rick Ambrose (long-time client of Eclipse) met with the Legendary Bonnie Raitt at the Hilton Hotel here in St. Augustine on Sunday (The day after her St. Augustine Amphitheater, show) to discuss Willie Green and talk to her about the Foundations she is involved with.

Rick says, “I showed her Willie’s old Kalamazoo guitar, and gave her all three of Willie’s CD’s (recorded and duplicated by Eclipse) and his DVD music video for her to watch on the bus.” St. Augustine was the last stop on her tour. Rick went on to say, “She was tired but very cordial. She was interested in Willie and his story.”

We had Dr. Tracy Halcomb, director of the communications department of Flagler College, in with her audio production students for a tour and question and answer session with Jim. She brings her classes each semester and it is always a fun time. This year, one of her students, Chelsea (a DJ at WFCF flagler College Radio) turned out to be a middle school classmate of Jim’s daughter, Sonata.

Eclipse Welcomes back Jack Sharpless!

Jack Sharpless has been a client of Eclipse for several years. He travels from Georgia, near Tallahassee to get here. He was at Eclipse today, working on his 3rd Album called,

If I Could Be Your Lover.

“This title track came about as a feel good song for beginning relationships, to evoke positive thought for 2 people who just met.” Jack went on to say, “This song is meant to express your emotions and feelings, into words and into music.”

The Jazz Jam was a hit this weekend. Jim Stafford (chief conspirator of Eclipse) ran sound for the event.

Jazz JamInga Erickson (president of the Jazz society) says, “The St. Augustine Jazz Society could never pull off our monthly Jazz Jams without the help of Eclipse Recording Company. Every month they come out and set up their P.A. for us. We are very appreciative of all the things they have done to help us.”

We had Dave Besley and Ray Kayanek in the studio working on their new song called “Empty Stockings.” This song will be the title cut for this years Christmas CD. It is appropriately named because each year this CD benefits the St. Augustine Record’sEmpty Stocking Fund.

Ray says, “This is one of those situations where 1 and 1 make 3; Where 2 people working together on a song make it better.” Besley says, “Ray got the idea for the words and we just took it from there.”

A Friday with Gerald Eubanks and Rege Lark!

We had Gerald Eubanks in the studio today working on his new album with Eclipse. He is an actor/Singer who has performed in many plays including: The Founding of St. Augustine, Passion andDriving Ms. Daisy.

Gerald EubanksHe is a master of all trades, he is the Intern Supervisor in the Education Department at Flagler College. Gerald is also a Stage, Screen, Print and Voiceover artist.

We had Rege Lark (pictured below) in the studio working on his new album called, “Rege Lark Limited Edition.” He has been recording at Eclipse for 5 years.
