Introducing The Eclipse Song Craft Academy - Starting May 27th

"Serving the song creators of tomorrow"

Master Lyricist Tim Daly, whose credits include David Gilmore, Pink Floyd, Dave Stewart, The Eurythmics, Hugh Masekela, Henry Mancini and Many more, will be the lead instructor of the 8 week course.

The mission is to identify and meet the creative needs of Florida’s musical and songwriting community by using our expertise to bring a game changing and game-raising energy through our teaching seminars, song craft training workshops (both to individual and small groups) and personal & professional advocacy.

We will be with you every step of the way, but make no mistake, the training will be as challenging for each individual as they can (with our assistance) cope with, to better move them ever closer to the goal of being able to write beautiful & powerful songs.

The instructor, 'Lyric Doctor' Tim Daily, was sought out by Pink Floyd when they wanted to produce an album with lyrics not written by Roger Waters. After three months of work in London and three more in Los Angeles, the bestselling album "Momentary Lapse of Reason" was born, eventually achieving a Multi-Platinum Sales Award.

Little Mike & The Tornadoes have begun mixing their record with Zora Young, who is one of the headliners at the upcoming Chicago Blues Festival

Those of you who follow Eclipse may have gathered that Zora Young was here in The Studio last week. She will be headlining at the Chichago Blues Festival in June along with Buddy Guy and Taj Mahal.

Former Eclipse associate Mark Dobies started this project in Vancuver, British Columbia. Work will begin withing the next couple of weeks.

April Fools! from Grateful Dead (1980)

On April Fool's Day 35 years ago, Grateful Dead took the stage at Capitol Theatre in Passaic, NJ, but, this time, the band members all took different instruments. In their unusual configuration, they played "The Promised Land." When they finished playing the members each returned to their respectful instruments and... played "The Promised Land" once again! Joni Mitchell (she's okay!)

Joni Mitchell had recently been hospitalized after having been found unconscious in her home. She is currently in intensive care and undergoing tests.
