The St. Augustine High School Jazz Band recorded music to submit to a contest for Downbeat Magazine. Mr. Davenport, their band director is also pictured here.
Jack Pierson, the president of the St. Augustine Jazz Society says, “I work with different schools in the area and I heard how advanced the St. Augustine High School Jazz Band was and was happy to get involved, I think they qualify right along with a lot of groups around the country.”
