What a great privilege it was to be able to work with Jay Ungar and Molly Mason this week (below). Among their many achievements they are probably best known for the soundtrack to Ken Burns’ ”Civil War” series on PBS.
Jay also wrote the song ”Ashokan Farewell” it is a piece of music composed by him in 1982. It was later used as the title theme of the 1990 PBS television miniseries as well as the 1991 compilation album, Songs of the Civil War.
