*The Music*

Headlining artists for this year's festival include Grammy award winners, major motion picture actors/songwriters, and folk & bluegrass legends.

Reason #2}

*Gamble Rogers Himself*

gamble-gambleOn both Saturday and Sunday, Gamble Rogers himself will be performing via DVD inside the Visitors Information Center .

At 2 PM on Saturday there will be a showing of “The Water Bearer” featuring Gamble Rogers also inside the VIC.

Rogers was just hitting his peak when he died, on October 10, 1991, trying to save a man from drowning. The recreational area in Flagler County, where the accident occurred, was later renamed, "The Gamble Rogers Memorial Park". 2762632

The Atlanta Constitution called Rogers, "an American treasure worthy of inclusion in the Smithsonian".

In the liner notes of his album, Fruitcakes, Jimmy Buffett dedicated the recording to Rogers' memory and wrote that Rogers, "taught me how to move an audience with dialogue and delivery as much as with music". In 1993, Rogers was posthumously awarded a Folk Heritage award. ~ Craig Harris, All Music Guide

*Two Great Contests*

1. “The Fingerstyle Guitar Contest” is Saturday evening in the East Plaza at the Gazebo, there will be no seating provided so a chair could be a good thing. If you would like to participate in a spontaneous jam session (in East or West Plaza) a chair is your responsibility.

2. “The I Remember Gamble Contest”

Reason #5}

*The Adult Beverages…oh, and the food too*

There are 5 locations that will have beverageBart Simpson, beer and problems vending.

*The “After Festival” Party!*

the location of the traditional party and it will be hosted by Lis and Lon Williamson and their musical ensemble.

Creekside is a sponsor of the festival and if you show up with a program or an arm band from the festival you can get one free drink with the purchase of a meal. The gathering will begin around 6 PM on Sunday and continue on until….?

Reason #7}

*It all takes place downtown Saint Augustine FL.!*

For the first time ever, the festival will be utilizing a space on St. Augustine's beautiful bayfront next to the Marina, and the City of St. Augustine's Visitor's Information Center next to the parking garage.

So come out and have fun and support your local businesses at the same time.

*The Available Parking or Shuttle Bus!*

There will be no actual scheduled pick up and drop off as the driver will be on call (904 669 5541).

CIMG4530_wp The municipal parking garage is bounded by West Castillo Dr. on the
north, Orange Street on the South and Cordova on the East. Rates are reasonable and the garage is very convenient to festival sites
including check in and ticket pick-up. It is also handicap accessible. In the core area of downtown street parking is metered until 5 PM on Friday and Saturday.

It is free after 5 those days and all day Sunday.
As you move out from the core of downtown street parking can be free anytime but is catch as catch can.

Dine  on the Wild Side to Benefit Wildlife on May 14th, 2011

Ever dined next to a hungry gator or a nesting heron?  This May, you can, while supporting a very worthwhile organization.

HAWKE, The Humane Association of Wildlife Care & Education, a 501 (3) not-for-profit charity that rescues and rehabilitates orphaned wild birds, mammals and reptiles announces their annual "Dine on the Wild Side" fund-raising dinner will be held atThe St. Augustine Alligator Farm  on Saturday evening, May 14th, 2011. The Alligator Farm and Zoological Park sponsors this popular event every year for HAWKE.

Live Music

Live music will be provided by Anastasia Spiecker (pictured below performing at the Annual Holiday party by Eclipse) a St. Augustine native who has been performing around Northeast Florida since 1998.

Anastasia has shared the stage with many popular bands including John Mayer, Styx, Huey Lewis and the News, Foreigner and David Crosby and her music has been featured in two independent films. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy/Religion at Flagler College and surviving a bout with cancer, Anastasia is now working toward her Master’s in the exciting field of Music Therapy at Florida State University.

Discount advance tickets are on sale for only $35 for ages 12 & up, and $25 for kids 5 to 11 (admission for children 4 and under is free if they share an adult’s meal).
